2011 STARTS WITH FURTHER SUCCESSES FOR RICHARD SPEDDING - At the Harewood Speed Hill Climb Spring National Meeting on 17th April 2011 Richard achieved first place with the fastest time of 50.87 and the accolade of outright fastest 1600 single seater into the bargain. This was following his recent switch from the now discontinued vacuum Auo-Blip Downshifter to the latest Remote Cable option. Richard said the improvement in performance of the new Downshifter over the vacuum unit was "as noticeable as the difference between night and day".
14th & 15th MAY 2011 - At Prescott near Cheltenham Richard was up against the F1's and still fought his way into 8th place in the first runoff. In the second runoff he improved even further and achieved 5th despite the stiff opposition.
OCTOBER 2011 - A delighted Richard called us this morning to update us that he finished 10th overall in the British Hillclimb Championship. This is a huge achievement as Richard missed several of the rounds this year. We look forward to seeing what he can achieve in 2012!
2011 HORIBA D'ISIS STAGES RALLY - Following his recent PS3 installation Simon Mauger put the System through its paces. Initially Simon and co-driver Keith Hounslow were 3-6 seconds a stage behind their rival John Indri but as Simon mastered the Gearshifter they became quickest in all the afternoon stages. They eventually finished a mere 10 seconds behind John with 3rd place over 1 1/2 minutes further behind. As an added result this meant they also won their class by over 2 minutes. Simon was full of praise for the PS3 and is looking forward to his next outing with it.
