MCN PUTS THE BUMP & BLIP SYSTEM (TM) THROUGH ITS PACES

Top biking publication Motorcycle News recently tested the revolutionary patented Pro-Shift  "Bump & Blip" TM System on the world's first production bike to feature this. The bike is a four stroke Rieju RS3 125 LC, kindly supplied by Jamie Masterman of Rieju UK  Limited. MCN's Senior Tester Adam Child and former BSB rider Steve Mercer were 2 of the testers involved and both raved about the "Bump & Blip" TM System. Adam admitted that he found the racy auto blipper "addictive" as it blipped the revs on downshifts and added "You can't help but dance around on the Rieju's gearbox with its quick-shifter and auto blipper". Steve was also deemed suitably impressed. The Rieju came out in first place with a top speed of 89 mph when tested against similar bikes from Honda, Yamaha and Aprilia and took second in the simulated CBT test. We tried a pneumatic system initially but the results weren't very successful. The main problem was that the air canister wasn't sufficient. Because we're using a small-capacity, naturally aspirated engine without a lot of torque, we have to change gear a lot and sometimes there was a delay while we had to wait for the empty canister to be re-pressurised.
